Wonderful evening meals (2), we went twice and enjoyed it both times. We enjoyed Meze starters followed by the swordfish souvlaki, served with fries and green beans. Service was really good, food fresh and hot, probably our favourite restaurant in Vathi. Do spray yourselves with midge repellent before hand although I saw the staff provide it to others who didn’t know about the problem.

We travel to Meganisi every year, and every year we go back to the RoseGarden. The family that runs this gem welcomes us as friends and provides fantastic service. The food is varied and fantastic. If you want to experience genuine Greek hospitality, fantastic food at a reasonable price, you must go to RoseGarden.

Delicious food, such a hard working team. Our favourites...zucchini balls and the swordfish souvlaki 😊. Absolutely delicious. We have visited this taverna in 2015, 2016 and again this year 2021 and would highly recommend it.

Effi and her family constantly deliver the best home cooked Greek cuisine in Little Vathi. The menu is authentic, with plenty on offer and served in a family friendly environment.I love it there.

I’ve been coming here for 10 years. Fantastic Greek food. Excellently cooked. Good prices and wonderful service... each dish is gorgeous... house wine good. Huge portions...& yummy complimentary deserts... I eat here 5 nights out of 7.... surely that says it all ???

Quite simple Greek food but we ate some of the best food in Vathi during our 2wks.The grilled meats were superb especially the pork chop .. sounds simple but when it's served up .. it looks fantastic every time.The mussels also a delight. Finally Effi and Hector who own the taverna are truly amazing .. they work so hard making sure the service you get is way beyond what you expect. Back in Sept .. can't wait.

This was the first night's harbour on our family sailing holiday and set the standard for the rest of the week which was in fact never surpassed. The food was truly exceptional, carefully prepared and presented. The flavours and textures of all dishes were to die for. None of us were disappointed and left having experienced Greek food at its very best.

In late May we popped in for lunch based on a recommendation. The restaurant was very quiet as it was early season.The food we received was beautiful, so tasty and such an amount of it We were very tempted to stay and enjoy a few more glasses of wine but the lure of the boat called us back.If we are ever back on Meganissi, we would definitely make a beeline for the Rose Garden.

Food here is the best homemade food in Greece! If you are visiting by boat the Rose Garden also has showers you can use. I recommend the shrimp in feta cheese starter! Its amazing!

This year, again, we have enjoyed our sailing stops at Vathy, Meganissi to see Effi and Hector at the Rose Garden. They are always welcoming and generous and will go out of their way to give you something that may not be on the menu, e.g. horta. We particularly enjoy their fresh calamari, pork chops and grilled fish. Thanks for your continued warm hospitality and best wishes to you and all your family!
