A lovely, romantic place to stay for a hiking trip in Papigo. The owners deliver a beautiful breakfast each morning with a view of the Papigo Towers--during our visit, the offerings included freshly baked pastries, rice pudding, and a local cheese pie. They also helped us to plan our hikes and thoughtfully arranged for transportation. We had an amazing time in Vikos-Aoos thanks to the Saxonis Houses.

את הקשר עם ווסיליס יצרתי עוד מהארץ. קיבלתי ממנו מידע מקיף על המסלולים שתכננתי ואף הסכים לדאוג לנו למקלות הליכה לטרק ללא חיוב! המקום עצמו נעים יפה נקי וציורי להפליא. ארוחות הבוקר טעימות ובכל שאלה שהייתה לנו מצאנו אוזן קשבת אצל ווסיליס. נשארנו 3 לילות - אירוח נפלא ומומלץ בחום!!!

Loved our 2 night stay here. Arrived exhausted after walking the gorge, welcomed by Vassilis ( with an ice pack for my knee! ) and quickly felt at home. Very relaxed atmosphere, big room with great views and a lovely breakfast any time you like. Could happily spend many days here!

Stayed here for 2 nights but wished it had been more, as part of a walking holiday.Small group of very pretty houses built around a courtyard.Rooms authentic and comfortable, good wet room showers.Breakfast lovely, but the best part is Vasillis, who makes you feel so welcome.Cannot fault this stay.

Un vrai coin de paradis. Hyper accueillant, chaleureux, authentique, de tout confort et reposant. Vous adorerez aussi la terrasse avec vue sur le village et le petit déjeuner d Anna. Destination de vacances idéale pour les amoureux de la randonnée dans des paysages grandioses et de toute beauté au printemps. Vassilis, le gérant se fera un plaisir de vous les faire découvrir... et sa compagnie est des plus agréables!

The village is situated in a breathtaking view, and Saxonis Houses is a perfect place to discover and experience the village and the region. The building and the renovated rooms are so beautiful, comfortable and amazingly clean. we immediately felt like at home. Vasilis is a wonderful, kind, and interesting host, generous in tips for uniqe hikes in the area. breakfasts were delicious. We can't wait to go back.

Incredible hospitality in a special place. Large, clean room. The staff are so helpful and friendly. There is no such thing as a bad (or even average) view. Rooms come with complementary fruit and local spirit. The hikes led by the hotel owner can be challenging but are worth every bit of effort. Other activities are available. Part of Greece that many may miss but everyone should go. Cannot recommend high enough!!!

Great village of Papigo and such a nice stay. The whole village is beautiful with all stone-house, and Saxonis is very authentic. Special thanks to Vasilis the owner, who is a mountain guide and give the most precious recommandations and info on the activities to do in the area (hikking, archery, rafting, etc). The whole family is very nice and welcoming. Very good english.

Stayed 1 night October 2014. 3 persons, 2 double beds very large room. No TV. Difficult (but possible with a medium-small car) to reach by car due to VERY narrow alleys. Car park 200 meters away.Very hospitable host. Provided recommendations on activities. Room nicely and warmly decorated. Tea/coffee/uzo/cake welcome on arrival. Small breakfast room. Breakfast was with home cake and pie. Reasonable.WiFi free, but very weak in/out of room.
